Isn't it Good?

I just learned that Norwegian Wood, by Haruki Murakami, has been made into a movie - see the tantalizing trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYBgsyBwYso

Even better, Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood scored the film’s music. Although it played on the festival circuit, I don’t think it’s been released commercially in the US yet.

Murakami is one of my all time favorite authors, but Norwegian Wood is one of the few books of his that I haven’t read. I first discovered Murakami with A Wild Sheep Chase in 1990 or so, and meant to go back and read all of his earlier stuff but never finished the task. Now I will have to remedy that. I also hadn’t managed to read Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, Kafka on the Shore, or After Dark, either, so I have my work cut out for me. Furthermore, Murakami just published a new novel called IQ84, which looks intriguing, but that one will have to wait. As much as I’m looking forward to reading all these neglected Murakami books, it will be hard for him to top A Wild Sheep Chase or The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle
