What He Said.

Finally!  Someone calls out the mainstream media on their worshipful coverage of Steve Jobs and his untimely death.  I am sooooooo sick of all the fawning coverage of this man - it’s ridiculous. As I said in my previous post, it’s not as if the guy invented the transistor or anything.  But you would never know that from the amount of media coverage he’s getting.  Finally, we have the voice of reason - Vaclav Smil’s article in The American:  Why Jobs Was No Edison.

To sum up - Apple makes “sleek electronic devices assembled from somebody else’s components and providing services that are not fundamentally different from those offered by competitors.”  The world would not have been a different place without Steve Jobs.  Enough.  I am so over this guy already.
